I’m back from my trip to San Diego for the Estill workshop at Point Loma Nazarene University! What a fantastic intellectual-vocal-social experience! Thanks to Professor Juliette Singler, presenter Dr. Kim Steinhauer, and instructor Thomas Clark for their expert help.

In other news, my student Marielle Schuchardt is preparing to star as Mimi in UW-Manitowoc’s upcoming production of Rent, and Carter Kryzaniak will soon be featured as Daddy Warbucks in his school production of Annie Jr. in Plymouth.

Things have really taken off at The Vox Box, my new voice studio for actors in Bay View, Wisconsin!  On the floor is a painting by yours truly—a durable “rug”.  Notice that the black lines, rather than confining the colors to the painting as a border would, extend out into the space.  Truly a place, I hope, where students have the freedom to think and sing ”outside the box”.

I am already so pleased to welcome several new students to The Vox Box, including Toni Martin, Kelly Haddad, and Erin Walton!  Other new Sheboygan studio members include Mickenzie Petri, Mimi Vigletti, and Elaine Wang Meyerhoffer.

Free trial lessons will be offered at The Vox Box now through October 31, 2010. Email me to set up a time! Coming up next at The Vox Box—-an opening celebration! Check back soon for details.

I’m excited to announce my latest teaching endeavor—The Vox Box!

Located in a black box theatre at the Marian Center for Non-Profits in Bay View, WI, The Vox Box will cater to actors wishing to expand their vocal skills and vocal characterization options. The Vox Box is part of the Marian Center Academy Studio.

Come “open the box” of your vocal potential! Actors, I promise you’ll feel right at home.
