Chicago Arts Educators Forum

04 Apr Chicago Arts Educators Forum

So excited to share that I will be presenting a session on “Songwriting, SEL, and Common Core” at the Chicago Arts Educators’ Forum, a program of ingenuity inc., this April. I was invited to present after a member of CAEF, Melissa Landfield, attended my students’ final presentation for CAPE’s Portfolio Design Project in June 2014. The students sang a “Foreshadowing Song” they had composed based on a novel they were reading, “Esperanza Rising” by Pam Munoz. Watch them perform it!
