Congratulations to students Katie Phillips, who was accepted to Interlochen Arts Academy with a merit scholarship, and Holland White, who will be doing an internship this fall with First Stage Children’s Theatre Academy! Katie is currently participating in a pre-professional opera workshop in Oklahoma, while Holland is performing in the ensemble of my production of Chess at Soulstice Theatre.

Congratulations to my students now appearing in Brigadoon with Sheboygan Theatre Company! Katie Phillips stars as Fiona, Holland White is playing a supporting role as Harry, and Danielle Rammer is in the ensemble. Congratulations as well to Casey Campbell, who has won a coveted spot in North High School’s Northern Lights show choir!

A special shout-out goes to Marielle Schuchardt for making it to callbacks for Wisconsin Singers in Madison this weekend. Way to go!

Congratulations to students Marielle Schuchardt, who will be performing with the Mill Street Singers in Plymouth, WI this summer, and also to Katie Phillips, who was cast in the lead role of Fiona in Sheboygan Theatre Company’s upcoming production of Brigadoon! Way to go, ladies!

Congratulations to several studio members for their accomplishments at Solo & Ensemble! Casey Campbell, Katie Phillips, Marielle Schuchardt, Rachel O’Keefe, Genevieve Gannon, and Olivia MacDonald will all be going to the State level for their classical and/or musical theatre solos. And Houa Lee received a top score in her first year of competition at the Class B level. Houa was also recently accepted to “Songs of Hope”, an international summer music camp.

Congratulations to student Katie Phillips, who will be playing the role of Kate Jerome in Brighton Beach Memoirs at North High School! Congrats also to student Marielle Schuchardt, accepted to UW-Madison for Fall 2010. It’s great to see my students thriving in both academic and artistic endeavors!

I would like to welcome new students Houa Lee and Genevieve Gannon to the studio!
Houa recently appeared in the North-South High School production of The Music Man. Genevieve will be performing the leading role of Hope in Plymouth Comprehensive High School’s spring production of Anything Goes.
In other studio news, student Molly Thiesenhusen was cast in the leading role of Reno in Anything Goes at PCHS. Olivia MacDonald was selected for the Swing Choir at Kohler High School. And Holland White is looking forward to beginning rehearsals for The Wiz at First Stage Children’s Theatre in Milwaukee.
